Today in Mr.Rease class we read other people essays about Macbeth and underlined and noted unnecessary sentences and claims. We also checked for mis-spelled words and unnecessary repeated sentences
Today we finished presenting the projects. Then we got in groups of 5 with 4 people. Each group was assigned a different topic based on Afghanistan. 🇦🇫 My groups topic was food. My group broke up different types of food such as i did traditional food, one did desserts and the other did street food. While listing these foods we recieved a book titled "The Kite Runner". We were assigned to read the back cover and the authors biography.
In unit 5 it started off with a story about a man and the risk he took to get back to safety after being trapped outside of a fire escape. There where a few questions relating to him and his comparisons and the way he felt about taking a chance. Also how he saw New York from the pov from the fired escape. The second one let be honest i forgot because i kept dozing off. I didnt find that one intresting however i did go back in the passage to find the answers. The 3rd was about a and and his son and about him wanting his son to do poetry or something wit his life.
Yesterday in Mr.Rease we learned the meaning behind the "I Felt a Funeral in my Brain". In the poem I learned there was alliteration and imagery involved. We also defined hope, thing, and feathers. At the end of the day Mr. Rease announced that we have a test coming up. This test will be on figurative language, characterization, and composing a paragraph with a claim.
