Today in Mr.Rease class we recieved a poem by Maya Angelou titled "Still I Rise". In this poem we analyzed how Maya spoke on society itself and the rudeness and bumps in the road it bring. While reading this poem we took notes on what each line ment. Then after class we choose a Maya Angelou poem to memorize and present in front of the class. This poem 100% describes me because when i feel that bad times and struggles are coming my way i feel strong enough to put them to the side and continue my way.

Unit 4 was a little difficult but i kinda worked myself through it. It took alot of thinking. After each passage or poem we had 30 questions to about all of them. Of course me i get stuck and confused on big words and it makes it difficult to compete. However i didmt leave them empty instead i just guessed.

unit 5

In unit 5 it started off with a story about a man and the risk he took to get back to safety after being trapped outside of a fire escape. There where a few questions relating to him and his comparisons and the way he felt about taking a chance. Also how he saw New York from the pov from the fired escape. The second one let be honest i forgot because i kept dozing off. I didnt find that one intresting however i did go back in the passage to find the answers. The 3rd was about a and and his son and about him wanting his son to do poetry or something wit his life.

In chapter 8, Amir has been ashamed to even speak on what he allowed to happen to Hassan. He didnt even want to tell anyone even when he asked for him himself. Baba and Ali wondered what was wrong with Hassan but Amir continued to lie. Baba and Amir were going to Jalalabad
